Dry Charterer- London

You will be responsible for the commercial employment of the dry bulk fleet on a worldwide basis, covering both voyage and period chartering across vessel sizes from Capesize to Handysize. Our client currently has a fleet of 16 bulkers that this individual will have responsibility for.

Beyond day-to-day execution, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the long-term commercial strategy of the dry fleet, including fleet growth and the development of cargo and paper trading activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial employment of the dry bulk fleet globally
• Execution of voyage and time charter business
• Development and implementation of a clear trading strategy
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with charterers and brokers
• Identifying opportunities to enhance earnings, including use of FFAs
• Contributing to the strategic growth of the dry bulk segment

• Experience in dry bulk chartering
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to outperform market benchmarks
• Well-organised, proactive, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ambitious, with a desire to take ownership and contribute to growth
