Job Title: Business Excellence Support (Logistics) x 2
Salary: Starting at £28,969.63 and rising to £30,450.48 when role objectives are achieved + shift allowance
Hours: 37.5 per week
Shifts:
- Day: 6:45am–3:45pm (Mon–Thurs), 6:45am–10:15am (Fri) – 4.5 day week
- Afternoon: 4:30pm–2:30am (Mon–Wed), 4:30pm–2:00am (Thurs) – 4 day week, +20% shift allowance
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
The Opportunity
As Business Excellence Support within Logistics you will report to the Logistics Production Manager; this role provides hands‑on administrative and operational support across the logistics team. You’ll play a key role in keeping daily activities running smoothly, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement across the function.
What You Will Do
- Always follow health & safety standards and safe working practices
- Support day‑to‑day logistics activities, helping to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain and take ownership of systems, trackers and data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Work collaboratively with teams across the business to resolve issues and keep work flowing
- Produce and review key metrics, highlighting issues and supporting team performance
- Support and lead small improvement activities or projects
What Skills You Will Have
- Data Analysis: Uses data and trackers to spot issues, identify trends and support improvements to team performance.
- Teamwork: Builds effective working relationships across teams to resolve issues quickly and keep operations moving.
- Ownership: Takes responsibility for tasks end‑to‑end, ensuring work is accurate, up to date, and delivered on time.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identifies issues, steps in to resolve them, and looks for ways to improve how work is done.
What You May Have
- Logistics Process Awareness: Awareness of how logistics or supply chain teams operate, and how activities link to wider business performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to improve processes and supporting changes that drive efficiency or quality.
- Systems & Tools: Comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets or databases to manage, track and report information accurately.
