Stock Specialist Volunteer (Knaresborough, North Yorkshire)

Overview
Oxfam is seeking a Stock Specialist Volunteer to support behind the scenes in our high street shops, Ecommerce Hubs and Online Shop. Your attention to detail and knowledge of donations will help maximise income and ensure quality goods are put on sale.
What you will be doing
- Undertaking shop-related tasks agreed with the Manager, such as selecting, sorting and pricing donated stock
- Chatting to customers who drop off donations and collaborating with team members
- Preparing stock for the shop floor and for listing in the online shop
- Researching valuable, rare, antiquated and vintage stock
- Photographing and listing items for the online shop
- Occasionally lifting boxes; we prioritise a safe working environment and provide health and safety training
The skills you need
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to learn with full training provided for volunteering in the retail space
- Specialist knowledge and understanding in your area of interest
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively
