Experienced Teaching Assistant – South East London
Apex Educ8 is currently recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary and secondary schools across South East London.
We are looking for confident, proactive and reliable Teaching Assistants with prior school-based experience who can step into the classroom and make an immediate impact. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff seeking flexible work, long-term placements, or a new role within a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4
- Working closely with class teachers to support learning and classroom engagement
- Providing 1:1 and small group intervention support
- Supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH where required
- Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in UK schools
- Strong classroom presence and confidence supporting pupils across a range of abilities
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable
- A proactive, flexible and professional approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
