Temporary Customer Service (Retail Head Office) – Agency Role

Location: South East London (Four days based in the office one from home)

Duration: 26th of May start – End of August (No notice period or pre-booked holidays permitted)

Pay: Hourly rate, paid weekly via PAYE (agency payroll)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, shifts between 7:30am – 9:30pm on rotation

We are recruiting on behalf of a luxury retailer for customer care consultants to support peak trading across the summer period. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, fashion-focused environment, delivering exceptional service to a high-end international customer base. This role will be four days a week in the South East London with one day from home. There will also be weekend shifts scheduled in, once every three weeks.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering a premium customer experience while supporting order processing, returns, and sales through multiple communication channels. You will act as a brand ambassador, combining customer service excellence with commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process outbound orders and customer returns accurately
  • Deliver outstanding customer service across all interactions using various software
  • Build strong product knowledge to confidently advise customers on purchases
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell products to meet performance targets
  • Meet and exceed individual and team KPIs (quality, productivity, and sales)
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve customer queries efficiently
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact order delivery
  • Manage and categorise customer queries using internal systems
  • Escalate complex issues or complaints when required
  • Effectively prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience, ideally within retail or e-commerce
  • Strong interest in fashion and luxury brands
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with a “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confident working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Good IT and analytical skills
  • Flexible approach to work, including potential travel for training
  • Team-oriented with a strong individual work ethic
  • Self-motivated and confident in a customer-facing role

  • You must be available to start on May the 26th and commit through to the end of August
  • No notice period or pre-booked holidays during the assignment
