Role Overview

RLB is continuing to win projects with clients in the Advanced Tech and Data Centre sector, and we are looking for more talented professionals to help deliver them. The Advanced Tech sector encompasses data centres, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, robotics and automation, and renewable energy production and battery storage. RLB’s Data Centre team works on new build, fitout, refurbishment and capacity upgrades. With growing demand we recruit experienced Project Managers based in London to support the delivery of Data Centre projects in and around London and across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen our team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working in a team to ensure successful delivery of Data Centre projects.
  • Contract administration requiring a good understanding of building contracts.
  • Supporting implementation and management of a change control process.
  • Supporting coordination of the testing and commissioning process prior to handover.
  • Supporting development of targeted marketing material, bid documents, capability statements and attending networking events relating to Data Centres.
  • Assisting the Project Management Partners in developing a pipeline of Data Centre opportunities.
  • Supporting development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs.
  • Supporting business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
  • Carrying out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
  • Complying with established procurement, commercial and contractual strategies.
  • Taking personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a Data Centre consultancy environment and demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

Experience

  • Essential: Data Centre experience managing projects across the design, tender and construction stages.
  • Technical experience: Understands technical aspects of project delivery from inception to post‑completion and is able to identify and promote solutions.
  • Proven experience supporting the delivery of Data Centre projects either as a consultant or client‑side Project Manager.
  • Proven experience supporting the delivery of Data Centre projects to time, cost and quality objectives.

Qualifications

  • Chartered qualification or studying towards: MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM, ChPP.
  • Construction related degree or similar construction related qualification with wide‑ranging technical delivery experience gained within a consultancy.
