About the Practice This modern Bristol hospital is part of a long-established veterinary organisation providing essential care for pets whose owners may be experiencing financial hardship. You’ll be joining a supportive, forward-thinking clinical team with a strong emphasis on collaboration, case discussion and continuous learning. The hospital is fully equipped to support a wide and varied caseload, including: Separate dog and cat kennelling facilities In-house radiography and ultrasound Endoscopy services Piped gases Extensive orthopaedic equipment The culture is open, supportive and focused on delivering the best possible clinical outcomes together. The Role This is a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week), with flexible working options available to support work-life balance. As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will take a leading role in clinical decision-making, supporting both complex cases and the development of the wider veterinary team. Key responsibilities include: Leading on complex medical and surgical cases and providing second opinions Delivering clear, compassionate communication with clients Mentoring and supporting veterinary colleagues and developing clinical confidence within the team Contributing to clinical governance and continuous improvement Supporting innovation and new ways of working aligned to the organisation’s mission About You You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical judgement, confidence in decision-making, and a calm, pragmatic approach under pressure.
