This is a one‑year locum post for an interventional cardiologist with a specialist interest in complex coronary intervention at the Trent Cardiac Centre (TCC). The post holder will focus on excellence and innovation, contributing to the delivery and development of the coronary service, including complex and CHIP cases. Responsibilities include supporting the rota for primary PCI and acute cardiology services, and delivering cardiology (general and specialist) outpatient clinics.
Scope of Work
- 2–4 sessions of work per week in the cardiac catheter labs, comprising a mix of elective and non‑elective coronary interventional procedures.
- Join the 1:10 rota for Primary PCI on‑call during weekdays.
- Participate in the consultant‑of‑the‑week rota, responsible for post‑take cardiology rounds rotating through the Acute Cardiac Unit (ACU) and inpatient wards on a 3:20 schedule.
- Weekend ward work includes 1:10 rota basis for 24‑hour Primary PCI on-call on either Saturday or Sunday, with time‑off in‑lieu provided.
