Job Description:

Sales Director– Challenger Bank – selling payment & clearing solutions into PSP’s, EMI’s, MSB’s, selling safeguarded deposits & banking to professional services firms.

The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

  • London office based, close to Bank station
  • £100 – 140k basic + commission, benefits, bonus (must have experience of working in a regulated banking/payments environment)

Our client is a high growth scale up challenger UK bank who are focused on providing banking and payment solutions to the professional services markets (including segregated accounts / safeguarded deposits) and providing payments rails and clearing services to EMI’s, PSP’s & MSB’s. They are in a unique position, as a licensed and regulated UK bank, to support the often complex and regulated banking needs of this market through their experience & knowledge of the sector. As part of our continued growth & development, we are keen to hire a Sales Director to work closely with the senior leadership team on the strategy and execution of our sales strategy. Our core products are payments rails/services and corporate deposit / segregated / safeguarded banking facilities.

You will:

  • develop & execute a strategic sales plan to hit our revenue targets
  • build and maintain great relationships with C-level contacts in target corporates & institutional clients
  • lead complex sales through to conclusion, working with multiple stakeholders including CFO’s, Treasurers and senior finance staff
  • lead, develop, motivate & inspire a team of sales people
  • collaborate with colleagues across the bank to ensure successful delivery
  • generate forecasts and reporting for senior leadership teams
  • develop product based on market feedback

About you:

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience in banking & payment solutions
  • proven track record of closing enterprise deals, maintaining pipeline accuracy & achieving significant annual revenue targets
  • deep understanding of the payments landscape xwzovoh in the UK, including virtual accounts & corporate structures
  • have a strong knowledge of and network within UK corporate & institutional sectors, and a good level of knowledge of payment rails including BACS, SWIFT, CHAPS, FPS)
  • good background knowledge of virtual account management solutions, working capital management & corporate treasury operations
  • regulatory understanding, specifically around payments & banking, like FCA regulations, PSD2, PSR
  • you will have a good level of strategic sales & relationship management experience, complex negotiation skills, team leadership, presentation & communication skills
