EA Associates are working in partnership with a leading East Anglia-based Painting & Decorating contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects across the Cambridgeshire region.
This is a well-established business with a strong reputation across both residential and commercial sectors, delivering high-volume housebuilding schemes alongside commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are now seeking a commercially aware and operationally strong Contracts Manager to join their team.
This is a hands‑on role where you will take full responsibility for multiple live sites, managing projects from pre‑start through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing multiple painting & decorating contracts across Cambridgeshire
- Managing Site Managers, Supervisors, and operatives across several live projects
- Programming works, managing labour, and ensuring projects run to schedule
- Ensuring all works are delivered in line with client specifications and quality expectations
- Attending client and progress meetings, maintaining strong relationships
- Monitoring project costs, margins, and performance
- Managing subcontractors and supply chain
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within Painting & Decorating or similar finishing trades
- Experience working on volume residential and/or commercial projects
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good commercial awareness
