This 3‑month interim assignment offers you the chance to make an immediate impact across a group of primary schools during a critical budgeting cycle. This is a role where your insight matters, your challenge is welcomed, and your work directly supports better outcomes for children and young people OpportunityYou’ll act as a trusted adviser to Headteachers, senior leadership teams, and budget holders – providing clarity, challenge, and financial leadership when it’s needed most. Your ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable guidance will be key in ensuring resources are used effectively and strategically. What You’ll Be Doing Financial Planning & Analysis Lead budgeting and forecasting across your allocated academies. Ensure financial plans align with Trust-wide strategic objectives. Deliver high-quality variance analysis and concise commentary for senior leaders. Strategic Business Partnering Partner closely with Headteachers and SLTs to influence operational and strategic decisions. Translate data into insights that drive performance and value for money. Enhance financial literacy among non‑finance colleagues. Identify improvements across processes, systems, and reporting. About You Experience within a Multi Academy Trust or wider education sector – essential. Strong financial analysis and business partnering capability. Confidence communicating with and influencing senior leaders. Excellent Excel and systems skills. A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and ability to hit the ground running.
