A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an Associate with approximately 2-3 years’ PQE to join its market leading Financial Services Funds practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work with top tier asset managers, investment funds and institutional investors on complex, high quality matters within a collaborative and forward thinking team.
The Role
You will support a broad range of domestic and international clients across the full lifecycle of regulated investment products. Responsibilities include:
- Advising asset managers on the launch, restructuring, promotion and operation of regulated funds, including UCITS
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating key fund documentation such as custody/depositary, administration, investment management, distribution and platform agreements
- Supporting corporate and strategic transactions involving asset and wealth managers, including acquisitions, disposals and restructurings
- Advising on and preparing retail investment product and service documentation
- Acting for institutional and other significant investors on fund investments
- Working closely with specialist regulatory colleagues on applicable financial services regulatory requirements
The role offers early client exposure, high levels of responsibility and the chance to develop a strong personal practice within a supportive team structure.
Candidate Requirements
This position is ideal for a solicitor with:
- Around 2-3 years’ PQE in regulated funds, gained at a leading practice
- Strong understanding of financial services regulation and genuine interest in the investment funds sector
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek guidance
- Commercial awareness and a client focused approach
- Willingness to contribute to business development and marketing initiatives
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to working effectively within a diverse team
