Calling all cinephiles and film industry buffs. The Sky Cinema Comms team has a rare opening to work in a hybrid Social and PR role, supporting the Senior Comms Manager on film releases. We are an intellectually curious, agile team, who live and breathe internet culture and emerging comms trends. In this role, you will be working on campaigns for Sky Original films and Sky’s biggest acquired film IP, as well as supporting on social campaigns for select TV series. Your day to day would include managing agencies for content creation, campaign planning for both social and PR, copy writing, press release writing, stakeholder updates and production and talent comms with Sky Cinema’s biggest stars. You will be a key contributor to the @hellosky TikTok and @skytv channels, with the guidance of the Senior Manager in the team, balancing community management and posting in an engaging way that resonates with target audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Help manage global Original PR and Social film campaigns from start to finish, providing logistical and administrative support including social posting, media monitoring, agency management, event coordination, community management and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with press to help increase coverage of Sky’s Original Films.
- Work closely with talent and their reps to relay press requests and pitch bespoke-for-social content for junkets, premieres and shoot days.
- Collaborate with teams across the business (Influencer, Marketing, Awards, Sky Studios and more) to help drive holistic Sky Original Film campaigns that drive talkability and showcase some of the best entertainment content that Sky has to offer.
- Help drive innovation across Comms campaigns for movies, executing big digital ideas that cut through to target audiences.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within the film industry, ideally at a studio or streamer, working as a core part of a cross functional Comms team on global film releases.
- Experience of working with A-list talent and their management, understanding approval processes and collaboration.
- Theatrical film experience preferred, with an understanding of the awards landscape.
- An intuitive knowledge of what will work well on Social Media and how the industry is evolving, specifically in relation to press. Must have a genuine interest and passion for films, as well as wider pop culture.
- A confident communicator with stakeholders and external production companies, A-list TV and film talent and showrunners.
- Proficient in Sprinklr, Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint.
- Experience planning and executing paid social media campaigns across multiple platforms in collaboration with a media agency.
- Experience managing content capture on set with talent.
