Overview

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement complex infrastructure across our Upstream Planning portfolio. This role involves supporting technical decisions while ensuring adherence to best practices. The overall objective is to contribute to initiatives that streamline and enhance the deployment of our application suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Manage and provision cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across deployments, infrastructure, and pipelines.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts for automation, deployments, and operational tasks.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain containers where applicable.
  • Monitor systems, respond to alerts/incidents, and troubleshoot issues such as patch-related failures or OS quirks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps technical leadership on pipeline standardization, tooling choices, automation improvements, security, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, identify risks, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with guidelines.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code for enterprise software
  • Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management.
  • Proficiency using Terraform and/or Bicep for infrastructure provisioning
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Windows, cloud, build, security, and deployment systems.
  • Proficiency managing package workflows with packaging systems such as NuGet and npm.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Deep Expertise in cloud technologies, including cost management and optimization strategies
  • Understanding of security protocols and encryption standards
  • Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with AI coding tools
  • Expertise in Azure
  • Expertise in windows deployments
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and security best practices.
  • Experience migrating or integrating multiple CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with LGTM stack.

Additional Details

  • Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in the United Kingdom is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
