About The Role

The role sits within the Chief Data Office (CDO) and reports to the Senior Analytics Manager. The Analytics Manager plays a key role in delivering business value through analytics and actionable insights. This role holder will understand the strategic priorities of the business and work with the business to identify opportunities where analysis and insight can inform decisions, optimise performance, and unlock growth.

Key accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategy and identify opportunities where data can create competitive advantage and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead end‑to‑end execution of analytics projects aligned with business objectives.
  • Use data storytelling techniques to transform complex data into clear, compelling insights presented to drive measurable impact and inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of analytics initiatives and ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and actionable.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and governance to minimise risks to the business or customers.
  • Work with data engineering teams and data owners to ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance.
  • Implement best practices for peer reviews, reusable assets, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts, ensuring high standards of analytical delivery and promoting continuous improvement and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., statistics, computer science, maths) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of how business strategy links to commercial outcomes through analytics delivery.
  • Experience in data visualisation and storytelling, statistical modelling, and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud‑based analytics platforms (Azure, Databricks), data visualisation tools such as Power BI and the ability to code in SQL/Python.
  • Strong project management skills for delivery.
  • Good understanding of data management principles, including data quality and ownership.
