Job Description:

Opportunity

We are working with a growing specialist engineering company designing real-world radio and communication systems used by defence, government and law enforcement customers globally.

They are looking for an RF / Electronics Design Engineer to join their team, working on the design of low-power, handheld and portable devices.

This is a hands-on role offering full product lifecycle involvement, from concept through to production.

The Role

You will be involved in the design and development of electronic hardware, including:

  • Analogue and digital circuit design
  • RF transmitters and receivers (typically 400 MHz – 2 GHz)
  • Low-power and battery-powered devices
  • PCB design, prototyping, and testing
  • Supporting products through to manufacture
  • Working closely with a multi-disciplinary engineering team

What We’re Looking For

We are open to a range of backgrounds, including both RF specialists and strong electronics engineers.

You may have experience in:

  • Electronics / hardware design (analogue and/or digital)
  • PCB design and schematic capture (Altium, OrCAD, Cadence etc.)
  • Low-power, battery-powered, or handheld devices

Important: You do not need to be a deep RF specialist. Candidates with electronics experience and an interest in working closer to RF systems are encouraged to apply.

Why Join?

  • Work on real, deployable products — not just theoretical designs
  • End-to-end ownership across the full development lifecycle
  • Join a small, collaborative team with minimal bureaucracy
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Opportunity to develop skills in RF and wireless technologies

Additional Information
