An opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to support mental health services in Swindon. The post holder will provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment within a multidisciplinary framework.

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of patients with a range of mental health conditions.
• Prescribe and review pharmacological treatments in line with best practice.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with governance standards.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• GMC registration with licence to practise.
• CCT in Psychiatry and entry on the Specialist Register (or within 6 months).
• Experience working within multidisciplinary mental health teams.
• Strong risk assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Previous NHS consultant-level experience. xwzovoh
• Subspecialty expertise relevant to service need (e.g., adult, CAMHS, forensic, or community psychiatry).
