Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for doing things the right way?We’re looking for two proactive and organised Governance Officers to join our Corporate Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting how PA Housing is run ensuring strong governance, compliance, and decision-making at the highest levels.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders, Board and Committee members, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes while making sure we meet all regulatory and statutory requirements. What you’ll be doing
- Support the smooth running of Board and Committee meetings, including planning, scheduling, and agenda coordination
- Prepare high-quality reports, meeting packs, and action trackers
- Take accurate and professional minutes, ensuring key decisions and actions are clearly recorded
- Provide day-to-day support to Board and Committee members, responding to queries and requests
- Coordinate governance processes such as declarations of interest, appointments, and inductions
- Maintain statutory registers and governance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support delivery of regulatory returns and compliance frameworks
- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on governance processes and requirements
- Assist with company secretarial duties including signing, sealing, and document management
- Contribute to governance projects and continuous improvement of processes and systems
What we’re looking for
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience in governance, compliance, or a similar administrative role (ideally in a regulated sector)
- Are confident taking high-quality minutes and handling sensitive, confidential information
- Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Can communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
- Are comfortable managing competing priorities and working to deadlines
- Have strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Are proactive, self-motivated, and always looking for ways to improve processes
- Ideally, are working towards or interested in a qualification with the Chartered Governance Institute
