Procurement OfficerHours: 35 hours per week; Monday to FridayLocation: Longforgan, DundeePay rate: £16.22 per hourDuration: Starting 16th March until September 2026Pertemps is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Public Sector client on a temporary contract, starting immediately.The successful candidate will be required to have a Level 2 Disclosure before starting.Role Overview:You will play a key role in the delivery of an effective and efficient procurement services to customers, ensuring value for money and compliance with the organisation’s Procurement Procedures and Local Service Agreement.Key Responsibilities:The effective use of all systems, facilities, and resources at our disposal to ensure the provision of an effective and efficient procurement service within the confines of the organisation’s Procurement Policy and Local Service AgreementLiaise with internal and external customers and partners to ensure effective service delivery and value for moneyRespond to and follow up procurement specific enquiries sensitively, timeously, and professionally, ensuring accurate and impartial information and advice falls within the confines of the relevant policies and legislationProvision of an effective and efficient administration service, ensuring electronic and paper-based communications and documentation are actioned appropriately within specified timescales, and where necessary, passed to the relevant third party for ongoing actionsTo manage specific projects and contracts as directed by the Finance ManagerEnsure completion of all routine information, documentation, and communications relevant to your role is delivered to local and national standards and timescalesSkills & Experience Required:Working knowledge of public sector procurement procedures and compliance requirements advantageousKnowledge of PECOS and Aggresso systems advantageousIdeally experience of Invoicing, accruals and pre-paymentsAwareness of relevant procurement legislation and governance frameworksStrong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to manage and maintain accurate electronic and paper recordsExperience using reporting systems and handling data accuratelyAbility to liaise confidently with internal teams, suppliers, and external partnersStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloadAbility to meet deadlines and work within strict timescalesHigh attention to detail and accuracyExperience providing efficient administrative support in a busy environmentStrong problem-solving abilityHigh level of integrity and confidentialityResilient and adaptable in a regulated environmentIf you’re ready to take on this rewarding opportunity, apply now with your up-to-date CV!…
