Children’s Residential Support Worker Location: Biggleswade Salary: GBP14.50 – 16.00 ph About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team. You’ll be supporting children and young people aged 8-18 who have experienced trauma, adversity, or disruption in their lives. Your role is to help them feel safe, valued, and empowered to build brighter futures. As part of a supportive and experienced team, you will provide high-quality care, emotional support, and guidance in a warm, family-style environment.
What You’ll Be Doing Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people Providing day-to-day care, including emotional support, routines, and activities Supporting children with education, life skills, and personal development Managing challenging behaviours using a trauma-informed, child-centred approach Acting as a role model-promoting independence, well-being, and positive choices Contributing to a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment
About You Minimum of 1 years experience working in the health and social care sector in the UK. Previous experience working with children and young people. Caring, patient, and emotionally resilient Passionate about improving young peoples lives Able to remain calm under pressure A strong communicator and team player
