The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals to support pupils in managing behaviour, developing emotional regulation skills and engaging positively with learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted behaviour and emotional support to pupils, both individually and in small groups
Support pupils to develop positive coping strategies and social skills
Assist in implementing behaviour support plans and risk assessments
Promote a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and senior leaders
Support pupils during unstructured times such as break and lunchtime
Accurately record and report on pupil progress and behaviour incidents
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour (desirable)
A calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
