Job Title: Children’s Support WorkerLocation: EssexSalary: 17.00 – 19.00 per hour
About the Role:We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Children’s Support Workers to join our team in Essex. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with a range of needs, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and live fulfilling lives in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people
- Promote emotional well-being, independence, and personal development
- Support with daily routines, including education, activities, and appointments
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
- Work collaboratively with families, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children or young people in the UK
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Desirable (but not essential):
- Restraint training (e.g. MAPA, CPI, or equivalent)
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or Childcare
