Job Description

Alexander Steele have partnered with an entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and innovation-driven food manufacturing business, who are looking to recruit a New Product Development Project Manager. The NPD team delivers high-quality, insight driven innovation, driving the growth pipeline from concept to launch.

The NPD Project Manager will coordinate, manage, and deliver NPD projects, ensuring Stage-Gate processes are followed, departmental alignment is maintained, and projects are delivered on time, in full, and to specification.

On Offer

• £60,000 – £65,000 base salary
• Car allowance
• 10% bonus
• 6% matched pension

Job Accountabilities

• Lead multi-discipline innovation projects from feasibility through to launch, coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple sites.
• Develop and maintain robust project plans, risk registers, and performance tracking.
• Support the Head of NPD in ensuring compliance with Stage-Gate, project management processes, and company policies.
• Lead medium to large NPD projects through all stages of the innovation process.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new product ideas, including process, equipment, and capability assessments.
• Conduct post-launch reviews, capturing lessons learned to improve future project delivery.
• Lead, motivate, and guide project teams, both direct and dotted line reports.

Experience & Qualifications

• Food related degree or equivalent.
• Proven Project management skills ideally in food development
• Substantial programme/project management experience, ideally in an FMCG environment.
• Strong track record in complex project delivery.
