Job Description
A leading UK law firm is seeking a senior solicitor to join its Corporate Tax team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with an interest in corporate tax, transactional tax and tax advisory work to develop their career within a highly regarded and collaborative team.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced lawyers and tax specialists, supporting a broad range of corporate, commercial and property-related transactions for a varied client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on the tax aspects of corporate and commercial transactions
- Supporting the tax structuring of acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations
- Assisting with tax considerations in commercial property transactions
- Advising on employee share incentive arrangements
- Drafting and reviewing transactional tax documentation
- Providing general tax advisory support to clients and colleagues
- Contributing to client updates, seminars and knowledge sharing
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 2+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
- A genuine interest in corporate or transactional tax work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and drafting ability
- A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal advice
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team
