Regulatory Specialist

I’m currently recruiting for a Regulatory Specialist to join an innovative and growing organisation within the animal nutrition sector. This role offers the opportunity to support regulatory activities for a global product portfolio while collaborating closely with technical and R&D teams. It would suit someone with a scientific background and early career experience in food or feed environments who is keen to develop their expertise in regulatory affairs.

The Role

As a Regulatory Specialist, you will help ensure products meet regulatory requirements across global markets while supporting both existing products and new product development. Working within a collaborative technical team, you will contribute to regulatory strategies, maintain product documentation, and assist with compliance across the product lifecycle.

This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, production, procurement and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support regulatory activities for an established animal nutrition product portfolio
  • Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory dossiers for product registrations and renewals
  • Maintain product certifications and accreditations, including organic standards
  • Prepare, review and manage technical documentation such as labels and data sheets
  • Provide regulatory input during new product development activities
  • Work with R&D teams on trials and regulatory requirements linked to product approval
  • Respond to technical and regulatory queries from internal teams
  • Contribute to internal reports and regulatory documentation as required

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (such as Animal Science, Biological Sciences or similar)
  • Around 1–2 years’ experience within a food, feed or nutrition environment
  • Knowledge or interest in food safety or feed safety regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Desirable

  • Experience with regulatory processes in food or feed sectors
  • Knowledge of fermentation processes, silage inoculants or related microbiological manufacturing processes

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £36,000 – £40,000
  • Bonus: Up to 10% performance bonus
  • Pension: 7% employer contribution / minimum 1% employee contribution (with option to increase)
