General Manager – Automotive – Manchester – £70k to £80k
Location: Manchester (On-site, 5 days per week)
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:30/5:00pm // Friday: Finish around 3:00pm
Salary: £70k to £80k + Package

The Role
The General Manager will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Manchester site.
Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong technical production background combined with commercial awareness and customer-facing capability.
The successful candidate will oversee production operations, manage site personnel, support commercial activities and ensure customer requirements, delivery schedules and operational targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day site operations
- Oversee production activities to ensure efficiency, quality and delivery performance
- Manage and support operational and production teams
- Drive operational improvements and business performance
- Work closely with customers and maintain strong working relationships
- Support commercial discussions around pricing, quotations and customer requirements
- Coordinate production schedules and resource planning
- Ensure operational targets and delivery deadlines are achieved
- Maintain high standards across health & safety, quality and operational compliance
- Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives alongside senior leadership
About You
- Strong technical production or manufacturing background
- Previous experience in a senior operational or site leadership role
- Commercially aware with strong customer-facing capability
- Experience managing teams within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Able to operate effectively within a fast-paced hands-on environment
- Conversion industry background highly desirable
- Comfortable working fully on-site
