The Role
The Operations Director is accountable for safe, efficient, high-quality production that meets customer demand while achieving cost, people, and strategic objectives.
You will lead the end-to-end operations to drive rapid growth and international expansion, ensuring high customer standards across safety, production, inventory, fulfilment, quality, compliance, data, procurement, logistics, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety, compliance, audits, and regulatory standards
- Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing operational teams
- Oversee demand planning, inventory control, and stock accuracy
- Ensure efficient customer fulfilment, SLAs, and logistics performance
- Maintain quality systems and support international expansion readiness
- Drive productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead procurement strategy, supplier management, and margin optimisation
- Manage risk, reporting, governance, and site relocation activities
You'll have:
- Extensive operations leadership in manufacturing or regulated sectors.
- Proven ability to scale teams and improve productivity.
- Experience with international compliance and operational launch requirements.
- Background in driving H&S culture and continuous improvement.
- ERP/WMS systems, demand planning and inventory management.
- Understanding of fragrance, FMCG, cosmetics or regulated manufacturing (advantageous)
- Site relocation or major operational change experience preferred.
