Shift Manager

Location: Belfast
Salary: £50,000 + 15% Shift Allowance + 10% Bonus (£60k+)
Contract: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Possibility of extending)

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing business based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or manufacturing leader to join a fast-paced, high-performing environment with a strong package and excellent benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading shift operations, driving team performance, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are achieved across production.

The Role
As Shift Manager, you will lead and motivate production teams within a busy manufacturing operation, ensuring targets are achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
You will play a key role in:

  • Leading and developing teams on shift
  • Driving production performance and operational efficiency
  • Maintaining high quality and food safety standards
  • Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Managing staffing, productivity, and shift performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Communicating effectively across departments to ensure smooth operations

Working Pattern
39 hours per week
Week 1 – Days

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm

Week 2 – Evening Shift

  • Monday-Wednesday: 2:50pm – 12:45am
  • Thursday: 2:50pm – 12:05am

Peak Period Requirement:

  • From the end of July, 1 Sunday night shift every 3 weeks

The Person
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • Experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Experience driving safety, quality, and performance standards

Food or FMCG manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
