About you:

  • Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or part-qualified accountant
  • At least 2 years' experience working within a finance department
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 or similar accounting software
  • Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities
  • Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

What you'll do:

  • Handle daily financial transactions including bank lodgements, receipts, and payments
  • Process purchase invoices and supplier payments, reconcile statements
  • Administer wages and HMRC online submissions
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and management accounts
  • Maintain petty cash records and assist with VAT reconciliation
  • Liaise with staff and suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
  • Support year-end audits and prepare journal entries
  • Provide cover for the Financial Controller when needed
