We are currently recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager for one of our clients in the central Hertfordshire region.

We are looking for strong people-managers, and you would be joining a manufacturing business delivering high-quality products to a diverse customer base within a fast-paced production environment.


Unfortunately, this role / company does not offer sponsorship, and you must have full right to work without restriction in the UK.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience within any form of manufacturing / electronics manufacturing, or a similar production engineering environment.
  • Strong background in production engineering, NPI processes, manufacturing documentation, tooling, and assembly optimisation.
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams, managing workloads, and handling people management responsibilities in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage the Production Engineering team, driving performance, accountability, and development.
  • Support the introduction and manufacture of electronic products by creating build documentation, production procedures, and tooling solutions.
  • Manage customer projects and production engineering activities to ensure delivery targets, quality standards, and SLA requirements are consistently met.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, ergonomics, quality, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, resolve engineering issues, and support ongoing business objectives.
