Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home


A client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home, supporting young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations while delivering high standards of care. This role involves leading and developing a team, managing staffing and budgets, and working closely with families, social workers, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.


Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily running of the home in line with legislative and regulatory requirements

Lead, coach, and support staff to deliver high-quality care

Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children and young people

Manage care planning, staffing rotas, and service delivery

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and professionals

Support children with complex behaviours and encourage positive routines

Monitor performance, budgets, and continuous improvement


About the Candidate:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or 5 years as a Deputy Manager in a residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, and delivering high standards of care
