Commercial Lead – In-House Legal – Fast Paced Global Tech Company – Belfast (Hybrid)
Conekt Legal is partnering with a fast-growing, technology-focused organisation seeking a Commercial Lead to join its in-house legal/commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer or experienced contracts professional to play a key role in supporting business growth and strategic initiatives.
You will join a collaborative, business-facing team and work closely with stakeholders across commercial, finance, delivery, and leadership functions. The role requires a pragmatic, solutions-oriented individual who can confidently balance legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, SaaS agreements, software licensing, and professional services contracts
- Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused advice to internal stakeholders
- Support bid and sales teams on contractual aspects of tenders and proposals
- Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks across new and existing business activities
- Contribute to the development and improvement of contract templates, processes, and governance frameworks
- Stay up to date with relevant legal and regulatory developments, escalating issues where appropriate
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 3+ years’ PQE, OR significant experience in a commercial contracts role
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts (ideally within the technology or IT sector)
- Commercially astute, pragmatic, and able to provide business-focused advice
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
