We are recruiting for a Technical Services Manager, with an electrical background, to oversee the delivery of critical infrastructure. This role will suit someone with critical environment experience such as a background working in data centres, banking, healthcare or manufacturing.
Main Duties:
- Oversee day-to‑to‑day technical operations, including installation, maintenance, testing, and assurance of critical infrastructure in line with statutory and contractual requirements
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of critical engineers and technicians, ensuring high performance, safety compliance, training and development.
- Coordinate with scheduling and planning teams to manage workforce allocation, resource constraints, annual leave, and ensure service delivery aligns with operational plans
- Act as the primary client point of contact, providing updates, resolving issues, managing escalations, and supporting meetings, reporting, and action plans with stakeholders and senior leadership
- Manage compliance, risk, and assurance activities, including statutory inspections, incident reporting, audits, supply chain performance, contractor management, and continuous service improvement initiatives
Background/Qualifications required for this role:
- Proven experience working within a critical environment or similar highly regulated environments such as data centres, banking, healthcare, manufacturing, ideally in an engineering leadership role
- Electrical qualifications ideally with previous experience as a HV/AP
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, statutory compliance, safety regulations, and technical risk management within critical infrastructure
- Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams, delivering complex technical projects, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
On offer is a permanent position paying a basic salary of up to £70,000 per annum, matched pension contributions and private healthcare.
