TCS Engineer

Service area: Hertfordshire and surrounding areas

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 36.25hrs/pw

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain and repair dispensing and dosing equipment, such as dishwashers and laundry dosing units, various water and non‑water‑fed chemical dispensing units, and enzyme dosing units.
  • Unpack and, when required, assemble equipment and perform servicing and maintenance on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that equipment operates according to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve faults, and organise repairs as needed.
  • Raise and submit quotes for parts to be ordered, ensuring all part numbers align with technical manuals and confirming receipt of parts.
  • Return parts under warranty to the supplier; return unused parts to stores at the conclusion of a visit.
  • Complete electronic job sheets after each site visit.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Technical Customer Services Team.
  • Maintain and check van stock.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • IT literate (MS Office)
  • Competent working on electrical systems, including reading diagrams, and skilled in basic plumbing.
  • 2‑5 years of engineering experience in dispensing or dosing equipment (or similar) highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Commitment to continuous development of product knowledge.
  • Customer‑focused mindset.
  • Organised and detail‑oriented.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • Forward thinking and agile work ability under demanding circumstances.
  • Approachable.
