Engineering Project Manager (Satellite Electronics)
Location: York, United Kingdom
**Must have or be able to obtain SC Clearance**
Are you ready to lead cutting-edge space technology from concept to orbit? We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to drive the end-to-end design and manufacturing of advanced electronic systems for satellites.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of satellite electronics — from requirements and design through to manufacturing, testing, and launch readiness
- Manage cross-functional teams across hardware, firmware, systems, and manufacturing engineering
- Own project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure quality, cost, and schedule targets are met
- Drive design reviews, verification, and validation activities in line with space industry standards
- Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace and quality standards (e.g., ECSS, ISO)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in engineering project management, ideally in aerospace, space, or high-reliability electronics
- Understanding of electronics design and manufacturing processes
- Track record of delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with space qualification, environmental testing, and regulatory requirements is a strong advantage
