Salary €47,000 plus 20% shift allowance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the performance and reliability of production equipment within a high-volume medical manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring equipment operates efficiently while meeting quality, safety, and output targets.
The successful candidate will work as part of a site-based engineering team, carrying out maintenance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain production equipment to maximise quality, output, and yield
*Troubleshoot production line issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
*Carry out preventative maintenance activities
*Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
*Complete all documentation in line with GDP (Good Documentation Practice) standards
*Support and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
*Assist with commissioning and validation of new production equipment
*Maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts
*Support training and development of fellow technicians
*Participate in occasional travel for training, site visits, or equipment assessments
*Ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety regulations
Requirements
*NFQ Level 6 qualification in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar) or relevant trade qualification with industrial experience
*Strong mechanical and technical skillset
*Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
*Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC systems
*Experience within a regulated/GMP environment
*Flexibility to work shift patterns
