Overview
We are seeking a skilled Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of machinery and equipment through expert maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Duties

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
  • Repair and replace faulty components using welding, mechanical knowledge, and experience
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
  • Assist with training junior team members in technical procedures and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability


Experience

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams
  • Experience with welding techniques and metal fabrication processes
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal


Expected hours:

  • 3 x 12 hour shift pattern
  • Days/Nights
  • Rotating 3-week shift pattern (during which a consecutive 6-day break)
  • 12 hour shift premium per week
  • No scheduled weekend work
