This is a fantastic opportunity to join Climate Group as a Senior Marketing Manager, shaping and delivering high‑performing, insight‑led marketing at a global scale. From flagship moments like Climate Week NYC to our partnerships and membership programmes, you’ll be at the heart of campaigns that engage influential audiences and drive meaningful growth.

You’ll combine big‑picture thinking with hands‑on delivery, leading bold, integrated marketing across digital, content and data‑led channels. In this high‑impact role, you’ll help build a world‑class event brand, influence senior decision‑makers, and strengthen our global profile. If you’re ready to bring creativity, commercial focus and purpose together, and want to grow within a mission‑driven organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Senior Marketing Manager is an important leadership role within Climate Group’s international marketing and communications function. You’ll lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for our global events portfolio, sponsorship marketing and membership engagement. While continuously improving our growth, marketing automation and innovation.

This role has a growing emphasis on data‑led decision‑making and commercial impact. You’ll work closely with comms, events and sponsorship, and act as a role model in and for the Marketing team.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the integrated go‑to‑market strategy for flagship events and membership marketing, uniting digital, social, CRM, brand and performance into one coherent plan, with budget and KPI frameworks.
  • Lead hands‑on project management and delivery of annual event‑lifecycle digital marketing (pre‑event acquisition, in‑event engagement, and post‑event follow‑up), across email, web and paid/social, using segmentation and automation to improve conversion at every stage.
  • Drive lead and demand generation initiatives, owning marketing automation journeys, nurture programmes and pipeline contribution in partnership with sponsorship, events and membership teams.
  • Own performance reporting: produce clear, analytical and commercially focused reports and dashboards that inform decision‑making at senior level.
  • Lead and evolve content and commercial storytelling, ensuring strong alignment between brand narrative, audience need and business objectives.
  • Experience in building and running brand ambassador programmes and working with content creators and influencers to extend reach, deepen engagement and deliver campaign impact.
  • Manage and develop junior team members through coaching, skills development, goals and supportive, high‑performance line management.
  • Act as a role model by leading externally informed, high‑impact marketing – moving at pace, testing, innovating and learning, and iterating continuously to improve results.
  • Partner confidently with senior stakeholders across the organisation, influencing priorities through insight, evidence and new creative ideas.

As a mission‑driven organisation, we may ask colleagues to take on temporary assignments or secondments in a different team to support organisational priorities. We see these as opportunities for development and internal mobility, managed transparently and with appropriate support.

You’ll work in a highly collaborative, international environment, where a diversity of perspectives and experiences is valued and encouraged.

About you

You’re a highly self‑driven, externally aware marketer who stays close to what’s changing in the wider marketing landscape including audience behaviour, platform shifts, and best‑in‑class B2B event marketing. You bring a strong blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery, with the pace and curiosity to innovate and optimise in real time.

Commercially minded and data‑literate, you’re comfortable using insights, segmentation and automation to improve conversion and engagement across the marketing funnel. You’re also a collaborative leader: proactive, calm under pressure, clear with stakeholders, and committed to raising the bar through coaching, high standards, and a positive, inclusive team culture.

We value strengths and a passion for learning – if you meet most of the criteria below, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in marketing strategy and execution, with a majority in B2B events or membership‑led organisations.
  • Strong digital marketing background, including marketing automation, CRM, email marketing and social channels.
  • Proven experience driving lead and demand generation and managing integrated campaigns end‑to‑end.
  • Experience planning and executing paid campaigns and managing budgets effectively.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to turn data into clear insights, reports and recommendations.
  • Confident people manager with experience coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Creative, resourceful and outcomes‑focused, with a track record of delivering results within a range of budgets.
  • Innovative thinker, keen to explore new (AI) tools and best practices.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy and hands‑on delivery in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven environment.
  • Experience marketing to a C‑suite audience across business and government.
  • Experience marketing within the sustainability, climate or NGO space.
  • Experience working across international or matrixed organisations.
