Role Overview
You will support the on-site operations team with the efficient, safe and timely delivery of the project, ensuring your work is of high standard and to spec. Working alongside subcontractors, and other labourers, you will take pride in your work, being aware of any potential risks or defects.

What you'll do
The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
Operations
- Carry out general and skilled labouring including groundworks, carpentry, brickwork, and installations.
- Assist tradespeople including bricklayers, joiners, and groundworkers
- Load, unload, move, and store materials and equipment safely
- Operate hand tools and basic machinery as required
- Support site setup, preparation, and dismantling
- Carryout basic repairs or maintenance as directed
- Manage time effectively, assisting site management in meeting targets.
Health & Safety
- Adhere to all site health and safety regulations and procedures
- Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Identify and report safety observations, near misses, and unsafe conditions or practice
- Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Communication & Teamwork
- Follow instructions from supervisors and site management
- Work collaboratively with site teams, subcontractors and other trades
- Communicate effectively regarding progress, issues, or delays
- Report incidents, near-misses, or defects promptly
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure work is carried out to required quality standards
- Follow site plans, drawings, and specifications accurately
- Support with routine checks and upkeep on tools and equipment
- Assist in maintaining compliance with company and industry standards
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, it is essential that your main skills and experience include:
- Recent, relevant experience within the construction industry
- CSR Card (or equivalent) at an appropriate level
- A proactive, and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety in practice and relevant regulations
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
It would also be desirable to have;
- First Aid at Work qualification
