A manufacturer of household cleaning chemicals has recently invested in new chromatography equipment but due to unforeseen circumstances they need the support of a chromatography analyst for a 12 month period, helping develop and validate methods which will ultimately support R&D within innovation and product performance claims for their products.


What you will need:

  • Several years experience using and developing analytical methods in particular HPLC and ideally GC and FT-IR
  • A BSc or similar in Chemistry or a closely related subject
  • Experience in an environment that moves quickly such as a testing lab or chemical manufacturer
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to liaise with external vendors and 3rd party testing labs, as well as various internal heads of department from R&D, quality and commercial.
  • Ideally a knowledge of a regulated environment, in particular GMP


What you will do:

  • You will take lead on developing analytical test methods, with the aim to substantiate product performance claims, working closely with R&D and reporting to the Head of R&D
  • Support the product development of a wide range of household cleaning products
  • Liaise daily with the formulation development chemists, keeping up to date with current projects and development briefs
  • Ensure all testing is in line with UK regulatory standards
