An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pensions professional looking to build a career in project management, to join a highly successful & collaborative team supporting a wide range of strategic projects across Defined Benefit Pension schemes.

This role offers fantastic pathway into Pensions project management. You’ll work closely with experienced Project Managers and technical specialists, gaining hands on experience across multiple projects including GMP equalisation, member option exercises, benefit changes, scheme mergers, and wind-ups, while developing key project delivery skills.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, providing essential coordination and organisational support across multiple workstreams.

  • Supporting Project Managers in the successful delivery of Pension projects
  • Developing and monitoring project plans, tracking progress and producing updates
  • Coordinating project meetings, agendas, and documentation
  • Maintaining project records, documentation, and audit trails
  • Assisting with budgeting, billing, and quality assurance processes
  • Liaising with clients, internal teams, and third party providers
  • Supporting post project reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, fast-paced project environment and has strong organisational abilities.

  • Experience working within UK Defined Benefit Pension schemes with exposure to Pensions projects
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with stakeholders
  • An interest in developing a career within project management
