FirstAchieve are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our global engineering parnter, specialising in the overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for stable hours and competitive pay.
Position Details:
- Role: Mechanical Fitter
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Pay Rate: £23 per hour + Travel Allowance
- Type: Full-time, permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Overhaul, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
- Fault finding, diagnostics, and precision fitting
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
- Working both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with rotating equipment
- Apprenticeship served or time-served mechanical fitter
- Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills
- Ability to work from technical drawings
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Relevant engineering qualifications (preferred but not essential)
