A leading UK law firm is looking to recruit a Leveraged Finance Associate / Senior Associate (3–6 PQE) to join its growing Manchester Banking & Finance team.

The Role

You will work on a broad range of financing transactions, with a strong focus on leveraged and sponsor-led work, including:

  • Leveraged finance and corporate lending transactions
  • Acting for lenders, sponsors and borrowers
  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements (LMA and bespoke), security documents and intercreditor arrangements
  • Advising on the full transaction lifecycle, from origination through to completion
  • Supporting ongoing portfolio work including waivers, amendments and refinancings

You will also work closely with corporate and restructuring teams on multi-disciplinary transactions.

The Team

The wider banking team operates on a national basis, offering strong deal flow and collaboration across offices, while the Manchester team provides a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with genuine opportunities to help shape the local practice.

The Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with 3–6 years’ PQE in banking & finance
  • Strong experience in leveraged finance or general corporate lending
  • Experience working with lenders, sponsors or borrowers
  • Commercially minded with strong drafting and negotiation skills
