Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


General:

  • Support the businesses Recruitment Strategy.
  • Developing a knowledge of the business requirement to identify candidates and suitability for each requirement.
  • Identify and sign off vacancies with Hiring Managers.
  • Track recruitment data metrics and ensure transparent updates.
  • Manage resource tools including job boards such as indeed, LinkedIn. Manage relationships.
  • Being flexible, within reason, in terms of hours of work to suit the needs of the business.
  • Resource planning – facilitate resource meeting across the business, ensuring minutes are taken and distributed.

*Please note that although this role is based in Cardiff, it requires weekly travel to our Stoke office every Monday.*


LinkedIn / Indeed:

  • Publish current live vacancies across job boards, ensuring that job advertisements have been reviewed.
  • Reviewing and shortlisting applicants that have applied via LinkedIn / Indeed.
  • Undertake initial telephone interviews with potential candidates including briefing them on our interview process and managing their expectations effectively.


Interviews / Onboarding:

  • Ensure all relevant paperwork has been completed and filed ahead of the interview stage i.e. application form & GDPR.
  • Create diary invites for interviews ensuring that suitable meeting rooms are booked for in-person interviews.
  • Conduct interviews with Directors / Line Managers.
  • Ensure that the recruitment tracker is maintained and updated in a timely manner.
  • Create and issue offer letters with approval from the Hiring Manager / HR.


Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to always act with confidentiality, integrity & discretion.
  • Personable, approachable and adaptable.
  • Ability to function in a high-pressured environment working to deadlines.
  • Starting to build and manage professional relationships with a variety of personality types including senior leadership and fellow colleagues.
  • Experience using Workday is advantageous.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Good experience in recruitment, ideally as an in-house recruiter or similar.
  • Good understanding of the full life cycle / 360 recruitment process.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with all levels of seniority. Starting to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good understanding of HR processes.
  • Sound knowledge of the Construction Sector / Advanced Technology is preferred.
