Job Title: Remortgage Technical Development Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £55k + Bonus

Role Summary:
A key role focused on enhancing technical capability across a specialist remortgage function. You’ll work closely with colleagues at all levels to deliver training, provide guidance on complex matters, and help embed consistent best practice. This is a non-line management position with real influence across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical training: Support ongoing development across the remortgage team
- Design training materials: Keep content aligned with lender and regulatory changes
- Act as a technical specialist: Provide support on more complex remortgage scenarios
- Maintain competency frameworks: Track skills and support structured progression
- Use quality insight: Identify trends and target areas for improvement
- Collaborate with compliance and operations: Ensure alignment with best practice and risk standards
Requirements:
- Strong background in residential remortgage conveyancing
- Experience with complex matters such as leasehold, transfers of equity, and non-standard cases
- Experience in training, mentoring, or supporting team development
- Good understanding of lender requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Confident communicator, able to break down technical detail
- Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
