Role Description
This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Laboratory Sales Lead covering the UK South region, operating with a focus on the London, Oxford & Cambridge, or “golden triangle” market. The role involves identifying and building relationships with potential clients, attending networking events, consulting on laboratory design, furniture & fume cupboard solutions, delivering informative presentations, working with the internal estimating team to deliver detailed cost planning, and supporting the end‑to‑end sales process. The Laboratory Sales Lead will collaborate with internal design and production teams, as well as external partners, to ensure client requirements are exceeded. Regular travel within the assigned region will be expected to develop business opportunities and deliver outstanding service to clients.
Qualifications
- Specific knowledge of Laboratory Furniture, Fume Cupboards, or laboratory equipment is desirable.
- Practical sales, presentation and networking skills.
- Proactive approach to developing and maintaining project and enquiry pipelines.
- Excellent analytical skills for understanding and addressing client requirements.
- Effective communication, relationship‑building and consultative sales abilities.
- Experience in managing complex tenders and creating tailored proposals.
- Experience of working within the laboratory furniture or fume cupboard industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with relevant software tools for presentations, proposals and reporting, such as Excel, Canva, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the UK South region, and occasionally abroad.
