West Coventry Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated Academic Nurture Lead to support student transition from primary to secondary and from secondary to Post-16. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and ensuring all students, particularly the most vulnerable, are supported to succeed academically and personally.

Build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a role model.

• Deliver targeted interventions and support personalised learning, behaviour, and wellbeing plans.
• Lead and support transition across KS2-KS3 and KS4-KS5.
• Identify and support vulnerable or disengaged students.
• Monitor attendance, progress, and destinations, taking action where needed.
• Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies (including CAMHS) to improve outcomes.
• Support behaviour management and respond effectively to incidents.
• Contribute to transition events, open evenings, and enrichment activities.
