As the Product Manager for Client Settlements, you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of how our merchants get paid. This is a high‑impact, mission‑critical domain that sits at the heart of Checkout.com’s value proposition. You will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of a seamless settlement experience, ensuring that funds move accurately, reliably, and transparently across our global network.
Key responsibilities
- Product Delivery & Roadmap: Execute the roadmap for the client settlement lifecycle, ensuring features for configuration, generation, and execution are delivered on time and to high standards
- End‑to‑End Execution: Own the day‑to‑day product logic for global money movement, ensuring reliable and accurate fund delivery to merchants
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Engineering, Treasury, Finance, and Operations to translate complex financial requirements into technical specifications
- Process Optimisation: Identify and implement improvements to drive efficiency and reduce manual intervention across the settlement flow of configuration, generation, execution and reporting
- Requirement Scoping: Define clear user stories and functional requirements for new settlement features, ensuring they align with Compliance, Legal, and Treasury constraints
- Data & Reporting: Improve the quality of settlement data provided to clients, ensuring they have the transparency needed for easy reconciliation
- Subject Matter Expertise: Become the go‑to person for how Client funds move through our systems, providing insights to internal teams to help solve complex client settlement issues
- Customer Centricity: Develop a deep understanding of merchant needs to ensure our settlement options remain competitive and flexible
- Gain a deep understanding of Checkout.com’s customers, be they end‑customers or developers, and businesses themselves.
- Build strong relationships across your network, particularly with engineering. You foster a team culture that upholds Checkout.com’s operating principles.
Qualifications
- Product Management Experience: Proven experience in product management, specifically within fintech, payments, or financial services, with a track record of delivering complex features to market
- Treasury Flow Expertise: A strong understanding of end‑to‑end treasury workflows, specifically how liquidity positioning interacts with settlement obligations across different regions and currencies
- Familiarity with the payments industry is beneficial, but secondary to a deep understanding of Operations and Treasury constraints and how they enable a scalable product.
- Process Automation: Proven experience in driving the automation of core treasury functions, including the generation, approval, and execution of settlement instructions to reduce manual intervention
- Data‑driven: Skilled at leveraging data and business insights to determine strategic priorities and drive the product roadmap and execution.
- Customer‑first: Think from the customer's perspective and can balance future opportunities with immediate needs
