Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias)
Are you looking to build a career in engineering, or take the next step after your apprenticeship? We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and well-established operation in the Edinburgh area.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid engineering foundation who is keen to develop their skills in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the safe and efficient running of a depot facility.
Working Hours
This is a full‑time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering Manager in delivering all maintenance activities with minimal disruption
- Monitor and maintain large industrial ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and drainage maintenance
- Perform electrical testing and fault finding across the site
- Ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard, in line with legislation and best practice
Requirements
- NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent) is essential
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, ideally with an electrical bias
- 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification is essential
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
