Responsibilities
- Peri‑operative management of cardiothoracic and cardiology patients at New Cross Hospital (NXH), with immediate consultant supervision initially.
- Resident on call for the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Cardiothoracic and Cardiology emergencies.
- Provide advanced resuscitation and intra‑/inter‑hospital transfer skills for the Trust hospital.
- Participate in a resident overnight shift rota (1 in 8) principally covering the CICU at New Cross Hospital.
- Active participation in the Directorate’s Teaching, Audit and Governance programmes.
- Keep up to date with Trust mandatory training requirements.
- Undergo regular appraisal; there will be an assigned Educational Supervisor.
